church reserves will be used to cover a £8,000 shortfall for the organ restoration project at St Mary's Church.
Fred Passant, the treasurer of St Mary's, said: "The major item of capital expenditure this year is on the renovation of the organ. The Friends of St Mary's have made a generous donation toward this of £10,000. The balance will be met by reserves."
Afterwards, with other expenditure taken out, the church reserves will stand at around £39,000.
