The Newent Quilters are planning their biggest exhibition to date at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 24.
If successful, the event could become biennial and a regular feature of Newent's cultural life.
Display co-ordinator Gilda Harris said: "We'll have lots of different things on show, including about 12 quilts, and wall hangings."
Last year, the 24 members were asked to create special strips to show all aspects of quilting, and these will be joined to together to create eight or nine wall hangings in time for the exhibition.
Members are also busy making around 24 special cushions for the show and there will be a textile tombola, trade stands and bookstall.
Meanwhile, chairman Jan Chave has announced her intention to stand down after three years, because of the pressure of other commitments.
But she added: "I'm still very keen to remain a member, of course."
