Ledbury travelled down to Gloucester on Sunday for this three way, fifteen-minutes-per-section, triangular match.
HUCKLECOTE U12s v LEDBURY U12s
It it was the hosts who were to prove dominant early on, getting around the Ledbury wings on three occasions to go 15-0 in front, this in spite of excellent gains by Rob Houlbrooke and Tom Coleman.
In the second third Ledbury were much wiser to the wide ball and tight side attacks by the homesters, and contained them well to keep within one score. Stuart Clarke and Chris Leadbeater both came close to scoring.
The final section saw Ledbury's best performance. Recycling the ball well and with good forwards' scrummaging, led by the indefatigable Charlie Smith, Ledbury were well worth their victory.
Tom Pinnell cleared from deep inside the Ledbury half after turnover ball for he and Andrew Nash to chase and score.
An away match at Longlevens on Sunday. Meet Ross Road at 9.30am.
