WITH the icy weather taking its toll, the only game in Division One of The Soccer Site Malvern saw Oak Allstars regain the lead in the division, courtesy of a hard fought victory over a very competitive Kempsey United A.

Previous leaders Bishops Frome's game at neighbours Fromes Hill was postponed due to the weather.

Home side Kempsey United started well against high riding Oak Allstars and took the game to them which resulted in them taking the lead when a bad back pass let in Ryan Leigh and even though his initial shot hit the post he was first to the rebound and gleefully put the ball into the net.

This goal stung the visitors into action and they went close when prolific goalscorer Jamie James hit a superb curling shot which struck the post and was scrambled to safety. Oak eventually equalised when following a corner, Lee Clueitt sent in a powerful header which gave the home keeper no chance. Oak took the lead following another corner when a Jamie James header went through the keeper's legs.

Kempsey showed they were not going to lie down and they equalised when Ryan Leigh pounced onto a clever chip by Stuart Stanton to bring an even first half to a close.

Oak Allstars dominated the second half and eventually grabbed what turned out to be the winning goal when Lee Clueitt hit a shot from the edge of the area which somehow eluded the efforts of the keeper who saw it late. Kempsey nearly snatched an unexpected point when in the dying minutes Stuart Stanton found himself through and one-on-one with the keeper only to shoot straight at him. The final whistle then went to give All Stars a deserved victory.

Division Two continued its weekly rotation of leader when Dynamo Ledbury went back to the top following their 4-1 victory at Vauxhall AFC.

The start of the game was delayed due to the frosty conditions, and when it eventually did commence, it was Vauxhall who surprised their high flying visitors when they took the lead in the first minute.

With the visitors looking uncomfortable on the surface, Jason Towers took the ball down the left wing without any real challenge and even though his shot lacked pace it bounced slowly into the far corner of the net as the Dynamo keeper was left stranded. With the ground turning muddy the game swung from end to end with Carl Gurney and Jason Towers looking dangerous for the home side and Adam Thomas working hard for the visitors.

Dynamo equalised just before half time when John Walker beat the offside trap and despite being brought down, managed to put the ball into the net. The second half started almost exactly as the first, except this time it was Dynamo's turn to score in the first minute. John Walker was bought down just outside the Vauxhall Area and Matt Grey fired home the free kick from 20 yards. The same combination were responsible for Dynamo's third goal when Matt Grey hit the bar and John Walker was first to the rebound to net his second. With Dynamo on top John Walker missed a golden chance for his hat-trick when he fired wide with the goal at his mercy but he did eventually get his third and Dynamos fourth when he raced onto a fine through ball from Adam Thomas to give the home keeper no chance.

This victory took Dynamo back to the top on goal difference as last week's leaders Cross Keys were held to a 2-2 draw when they visited Bell Inn 98 who were playing their first game since December 14.

Cross Keys took the lead with a Jamie Thomas penalty and that was how it remained until half time.

Bell Inn 98 struck back in the second half and took the lead with goals from Pete Brown, from some distance, and Chris Grubb, only for the visitors to snatch a point in the 85th minute when Leon Roberts headed into his own net.

The spotlight this Sunday falls on Talbot Head who entertain Hampton WMC and Morgan Aero 8 who entertain Claines with a place in the semi-finals of the WFA Sunday Minor Cup the reward for victory.
