AYLESTONE School's under-13 Girls team are through to the semi-finals of the Midlands Coca-Cola Cup after a comprehensive 8-0 win over Alderman Smith School from Nuneaton.
Aylestone, the Hereford-shire county champions, started well without posing a serious attacking threat and the chances came at the other end where only the brilliance of Natalie Hill in the home goal kept the scoresheet blank.
Midfielder Stacey Harris, on her debut, eventually opened the Aylestone account and then went on to claim an impressive hat-trick. Other Aylestone goals came from Lara Wooles, Lisa Wooles, Kayleigh Hill, Lyndsey Wadelin and Amy Wilkins.
As county champions, Aylestone will represent Herefordshire in the Coca-Cola Midlands Cup next month and will aim to emulate last year's boys' team which reached the final at Villa Park.
