Middle Barton 1
Ross Town 4
ROSS returned to top form with a commanding win which keeps them nine points off the top of the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Division 1 West with three games in hand over leaders Purton.
Although this should have been a home match for Ross, with Talbot's Pleck under six inches of water, the game was swiftly switched to Middle Barton.
But Ross still played as if they were the home team and swept into the lead on six minutes when Stuart Parker's 25-yard effort took a slight deflection before flying into the net.
Skipper Adam Bridges added number two 10 minutes later and, with Ross in total control, leading scorer Jamie Warwick slotted home a third on 33 minutes.
Although Kay pulled a goal back for the home side before the interval, Ross restored their three-goal advantage on the hour with a spectacular half-volley from Andrew Green.
