Bilston Town 5 Leominster Town 0

HAVING not played a competitive game for more than a month Leominster were always going to struggle against a strong Bilston team challenging for West Midlands League Division 1 South honours.

The visitors were under pressure from the off and conceded a goal after only three minutes when Nathan Rose-Lang collected the ball just outside the box to fire a low drive through a wall of defenders and past the unsighted Craig Brimmell.

With their tails up, Bilston threatened to run riot, hitting a post and the bar in quick succession, and then being denied a second goal by a superb save from Brimmell.

To their credit Leominster battled their way back into the game and almost levelled just before the break when Daniel Rocke's shot was well saved by home goalkeeper Scott Turbutt.

Rose-Lang bagged a second goal for Bilston, but Ben Price almost pulled a goal back when he raced clear and rounded Turbutt only to see his shot rebound to safety off a post.

As Leominster tired Bilston took full advantage to hit three more goals, Rose-Lang taking his tally to four and Adam Fox adding the final goal.
