Bustleholme Reserves 4 Hinton 1
HINTON'S hopes of climbing back up the West Midlands League Division 1 South table were dented as lowly Bustleholme grabbed two goals in the opening quarter, and then hung on for a deserved victory.
The visiting defenders stopped running when a long ball down the flank appeared to heading for a goal-kick. However, the ball rebounded from the corner flag and a chasing Bustleholme winger swung the ball across the box for his striker to sweep home.
They extended their lead in the 20th minute when Hinton's Matt Smalley and Steve Mifflin got in a tangle as they attempted a quick throw-in, the home striker nipping in to ran through and score.
After the break Hinton had a lot of the play but could not finish, and in the 75th minute Bustleholme put the result beyond doubt with a breakaway goal.
With time running out Mike Marsden pulled a goal back for Hinton, but straight from the restart Bustleholme went straight down the other end to bag a fourth goal with the last play of the match.
