Carno 1 Presteigne 2
TWO first-half goals from Chris Jones gave Presteigne a useful Spar Mid Wales League win.
The visitors made a strong start and Jones, Tony Richards and Willie Lindesay all went close before Carno took the lead against the run of play.
What appeared to be an attempted cross sailed over the head of Presteigne goalkeeper Bryan Kirkham and into the net to give the home side the advantage.
The equaliser arrived when Jones intercepted a back pass to net and the forward seized on another defensive mistake just before the interval to send Presteigne in ahead.
Jones almost added a third right at the death when he raced away from the half way line but prodded his shot just wide of the target.
