PARISH COUNCIL - Kingstone and Thruxton Group Parish Councillors decide to go ahead with a new directional sign to the Village Hall and to ask Hereford Council to include street lighting in the revised speed reduction and traffic calming zone outside the village schools. The Sports Association is still seeking funding for the new changing facilities and experiencing problems with vandalism. The councillors were made aware of the work of the Waste Watchers protest group against the proposed waste treatment plant at Stoney Street, Madley. The council had discussed the planning application at their planning meeting in November. The Parish Paths Grant has been received for this financial year and the Footpaths officer Mr John Geary is arranging for work to commence on improving the parish footpaths as soon as weather permits.
