VILLAGE HALL - It is hoped that many Almeley residents will attend the annual meeting of the Almeley Village Hall which is scheduled to take place on Monday at 7.30pm. Support for the village hall, which has proved to be an important part of lift in the community, is vital, especially as all council tax payers contribute to a greater or lesser degree to its upkeep. Following the meeting it is proposed to serve wine and cheese for all those who have attended it.

PARISH PLAN - A total of 250 households in the parish of Almeley received a set of questions relating to the parish plan. The survey was completed on December 1 and 62% of the population replied. The results of the analysing of this survey will be announced at the next public meeting relating to the parish plan.

PARISH COUNCIL - When the Almeley Parish Council met at the end of 2003, one of the topics under discussion was the review of car parking charges in Herefordshire. It was decided not to support charges for parking in Kington and Leominster because it was thought detrimental to local businesses. Mr John Hope was nominated to be a director in the Kington Area Regeneration Partnership. A report by Mr Peter Weeks provided an update in the Parish Plan Work Party.
