THEY came on Saturday night determined to have a good time and they succeeded.

Many dressed for the occasion, several as maids and some, men and women included, in black corsets and fishnet tights.

Yes, the Rocky Horror Picture Show was at Ludlow Assembly Rooms and it was time for total audience participation.

The result was three shows in one.

Les Vulnerables, a group of Rocky Horror enthusiasts who glided round the venue beforehand dressed as characters from the film, set the scene.

Once everyone was seated, there was a quick teach-in on how and when to use the essential props - rice, playing cards, party poppers and folded pieces of newspaper.

As the film started, the members of Les Vulnerables climbed on stage to mimic the action.

Show number one was the film itself. The second show was the action in front of the screen and the third show was in the hands of the audience, literally.

We threw rice in the wedding scenes, snapped balloons in time with Frank'n'furter's rubber gloves and slapped newspapers on our heads as Brad and Janet braved the rain.
