THE film spools are being dusted down in preparation for the second Borderlines film festival, run by Hereford's Rural Media Company.
This year's agenda includes a screening of archival Herefordshire film, to be shown at The Courtyard between March 19 and 31.
A post-war boating trip down the Wye, the Queen Mum's visit to Leominster in 1960 and an otter hunt from 1926 are some of the extraordinary pieces which have been recovered to date.
Researcher Naomi Vera-Sanso is on the lookout for more - and amateur film-makers and enthusiasts have an important part to play.
"I'm particularly interested in films of the Wye, Lugg, Frome and Arrow," she said.
"Films of the market towns are also welcome.
"We've managed to locate some archival gems already, including a film made in 1926 about Kington Sports Day and Horse Fair."
If you have any film footage which could be appropriate, contact Alison Chapman on 01432 344039.
Following the festival, Naomi's research, which is funded by the Herefordshire Rivers Leader programme, will be made available to the public at libraries and the County Records Office.
