A BOY with green fingers is appealing for help so he can carry on playing a major role in Leominster's annual floral display competition.
Ryan Holland, aged 11, who plants up hanging baskets for some of the displays, is looking for enough space to erect a small poly-tunnel with his grandfather Robin Hancox.
Ryan, who was presented with a certificate of appreciation and an Alan Titchmarsh gardening book by the Mayor last year, has a tiny garden at his home in Croft Street. An out-of-town site that he was using on a temporary basis for raising plants is no longer available.
His mum, Sarah, said: "Ryan is as enthusiastic as ever and is looking forward to doing his bit for this year's floral display competition.
"If anyone has a large garden or any other suitable site where he could put up a small poly-tunnel we would be happy to hear from them - we are willing to pay rent."
