THIS will be a massive development, running 24 hours a day, six days a week. There will be a waste-carrying lorry in and out every 2-3 minutes.
Taken in conjunction with the proposed large-scale free-range chicken farming at Lower Chilstone Farm near Madley, the unacceptable increase in heavy transport and lorry traffic will simply overwhelm the local infrastructure.
The new bridge at Bridge Sollars, when opened, will exacerbate the situation with heavy traffic from the Brecon road using it as a short cut to avoid the normal Hereford congestion.
Hereford City residents who think they won't be affected can think again, as the plant will be for the whole of Herefordshire and Worcester shire. If they think rush hours are bad now, wait until they have an additional 200 plus lorries a day passing through and around the city en route.
R G Walters,
Shenmore, Madley.
