Ledbury set off for this Merit Table fixture feeling quietly confident after their performance the previous week and the knowledge that they had beaten Tenbury convincingly at home earlier in the season.

TENBURY 2ND XV 0, LEDBURY 2ND XV 46pts

The Ledbury team had a few welcome returns to the side namely Mark Gould and Will Delamore, back from the USA.

The scoring started early on with a quick ball from the scrum and out along the backs to see centre Huw Bellamy cross the line for a fine try converted by Mark Gould.

It wasn't long before another strong set of plays by the forwards in a rolling maul situation put Justin Emery over for the second try of the afternoon (unconverted).

Tenbury tried hard putting in some good tackles but they could not keep up with the strength and skill level of this Ledbury side and with another quick ball down the line winger Ollie Kaye ran around his opposite number to score his first of three tries of the day, converted by Gould for 19-0.

That was the score at half time and with some inspired substitutions from Chris Kitching the flood gates opened in the second phase with two great running tries from Will Delamore (who even converted one with a drop-goal) and the others from Dave Latch and Ollie Kaye. The final score of 46-0 being a true reflection of the afternoon's game.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Ledbury Seconds travel to Redditch for their next Merit Table fixture.
