BROMYARD Police station closed its doors on Wednesday (January 14) for major construction work to take place.
Police officers and civilian staff moved out of the New Road building and into a temporary headquarters at Here-fordshire Council's former area office in Rowberry Street this week.
The old station will be knocked down and it is hoped the new station will be built at the site by the summer.
Normal front-counter service will continue at the temporary station between 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.
The new police station will have disabled access and better accommodation for the officers and staff based in the town.
