THE ladies of Bromyard Afternoon Club got together for a bring-and-buy sale and social afternoon on Tuesday (January 13).
Around 35 members attended the sale in Kirkham Gardens hall, which raised more than £72 in aid of the Acorns Children's Hospice appeal. They enjoyed mince pies and refreshments afterwards.
Club secretary Christine Forsyth said the group organised the event instead of its usual meeting as a social occasion and an opportunity for general chit-chat.
"It all went very well," she said.
Club members are currently completing a quilt which they will raffle at their annual meeting in March to raise more funds for Acorns.
