Around 20 Deer Park estate residents attended the planning meeting of Ledbury Town Council at the Market House on Thursday, January 8.
They were present to hear town councillors' views on the barrier that divides Biddulph Way from Oakland Drive.
A Government planning inquiry in March could lead to the barrier being removed and a through way being created between the two roads.
Residents both for and against the opening of the barrier attended the meeting.
But the committee decided that, without further information from Herefordshire council, it could offer no opinion yet.
