A PLAN for seven holiday units at Hartledge Farm, Redmarley, has been rejected by the Forest of Dean District Council.
The application, if it had been approved by the development control and licensing committee on Tuesday, would have meant the alternation and conversion of existing buildings.
There was no response to the plan from neighbours. However, the council threw the application out because the site was beside the A417, where traffic speeds are high and increased traffic movements and manoeuvres could have posed highway safety hazards.
The council also considered that vehicles parked at the holiday site would have detracted from the area's visual beauty.
