HEREFORDSHIRE played its part in helping to raise nearly £23,000 for the Cobalt Unit Appeal's Penny Pot scheme during 2003.
The scheme, which asks people from Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire to collect loose change in plastic pots, is now in its 17th year and has raised more than £265,000 towards cancer research and medical equipment.
