LEOMINSTER Town face an end-of-season fixture pile-up after their third consecutive match had to be called off because of the weather.
Town, who had no game scheduled for the previous week, should have travelled to Cradley Town Reserves on Saturday but the pitch was judged unfit with waterlogging across a good third of its surface area. They have now not played for nearly a month.
"With a number of teams in the division not having access to floodlit pitches this could have serious consequences later in the season," said secretary Bill Bloxsome.
Town have played most of their home games and will have early starts when they travel away to the midweek fixtures which are now likely to be needed to complete their season's games.
This Saturday, they should be away again when they are due to travel to play at Bilston Town.
