HEREFORDSHIRE conceded a poor goal in the early stages, but fought hard throughout this game to match the home county in all departments, and in Sam Gwynne had the game's outstanding player who controlled the midfield with a skilful performance.
There was little between the teams after the home side had netted their early goal through Ben Walker and with a little more composure in front of goal Herefordshire may well have been level at the interval.
After the break both teams were guilty of missing chances with poor shooting although both goalkeepers were called upon to make timely saves.
Hereford's Ben Arnold, in particular, saw the home keeper make two fine saves from his shots.
Herefordshire will be disappointed not to have at least drawn this game against a West Midlands team that has now won the group to move on into the next stages of the national competition.
