FC Phoenix Under-14 girls head the Central Warwickshire League Division One after a battling 3-2 win over previous leaders Walsall Ladies.
Chelsey Snead broke away to put Phoenix ahead against the run of play but Walsall drew level before the interval.
A fine individual goal from Emily Lovelock restored Phoenix's lead only for Walsall to equalise again with a fine shot from 25 yards.
Phoenix continued to press and, with 15 minutes to play, Snead forced her way past three defenders to fire in the winner and secure the three points.
Phoenix under-12s suffered a disappointment, however, in the Mercian League after succumbing to title rivals Pershore 2-0 in a very tight game.
