Kington Town 3 Ewyas Harold 0
DAVE Goode inspired all three Kington goals as the West Midlands League title chasers outplayed plucky Hereford Times Herefordshire League leaders Ewyas Harold to book an Easter Monday HFA County Challenge Cup final meeting with rivals Ledbury Town.
Harold were under pressure from the off as Kington mounted a series of attacks and forced the visitors into conceding an own goal in the 19th minute.
Goode made a fine a run down the left before whipping over a cross which the supporting Kevin Gwilliam flicked towards the goal, Harold central defender Chris Dzioba deflecting the ball past goalkeeper Stuart Turpin.
The visitors defended well, with Matthew McGowan and Rob Cooper-Tomkins outstanding, but they could not stop Kington extending their lead on the half-hour.
Again, Goode beat a couple of defenders to take the ball to the by-line before pulling it back to give Danny Hill a close range tap-in.
After the break Harold tried to get back into the game but, although they created a few half-chances, Pete Lamb and Matthew Ingram could not finish.
Kington scotched any hopes of a Harold revival when Goode again tormented the visitors to square the ball for Gareth Watkins to slam home the third and final goal.
