AZTEC beat Red Devils 41-32 in a fast and highly skilful game to extend their lead in the BOSS Hereford Netball League.

There was end-to-end play between the rivals with scores staying very even for much of the game.

Excellent defending by Devils' Tina Morris, Sally Hill and Ruth Powell counteracted the shooting power of Kerry Amos.

Sophie Morris battled valiantly in the centre court for Devils, ably assisted by Helen Palmer.

The third quarter saw Aztec take a lead and extend it, Devils' shooters momentarily struggling to find the net.

Devils held their own through the final quarter but Aztec proved too strong for them to close the score.

The result extended Aztec's lead in the league as rivals Beaumonts were without a game.

Sixth Sense gained a 26-18 win over Humfrys & Symonds who fought extremely well considering they had only six players.

The two teams are always close and every time they meet it leads to a very competitive match.

Humfrys & Symonds were leading after the first two quarters but Sixth Sense applied the pressure as the six players began to tire.

Excellent defence from Sixth Sense players Helen Thomasson and Sarah Taylor was the key to their victory.

Monmouth gained a 42-11 victory over Montoos, their second team, in a typical fast and furious game.

Montoos held them for the first two quarters with good defence from Debbie Gibson and Ceri Tamplin.

But the skill of the Monmouth team soon began to show with excellent attacking moves from centre Emma Gonzalez and winger Sian Edwards.

Accurate shooting by Mandy Pick and Louise Duncan then gave Monmouth a comfortable win.

TC's beat Luctonians 32- 20 in a fast-paced game which exposed a certain lack of fitness.
