Hereford United have breathing space at the top of the Nationwide Conference after their closest rivals Chester City dropped points last night.
Mark Wright's team conceded an injury-time penalty as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Eton Park by Burton Albion, leaving the Bulls four points clear.
Nigel Clough's Burton side are the only side to have beaten Hereford this season, winning 4-1 at home three weeks ago.
Hereford have netted 37 goals in just 13 games this season following Tuesday's 5-1 win at Northwich, with top scorer Steve Guinan's brace taking his tally to 11.
The Bulls are next in action in Monday's Sky-televised clash against Dagenham and Redbridge at Edgar Street.
Graham Turner's men then face a crunch clash against Chester at the Deva Stadium on Saturday, October 18.
