EXETER City, spared liquidation last week, face another grilling at Hereford United in the LDV Vans Trophy tonight (7.45).
Despite their financial worries, the Grecians remain more than capable of upsetting the Conference leaders in this southern section first round clash.
Edgar Street boss Graham Turner, an old hand at staving off creditors in his time at Hereford, has promised to focus all his energies on achieving victory and the chance of revenge in the next round against last year's LDV conquerors Northampton Town.
But he may have to do it without midfielder Danny Williams (ankle) and right-back Ryan Green (calf) who are both doubts after Saturday goalless draw at Chester City.
Eamonn Dolan's Devon side have quickly put last year's Third Division relegation disappointment behind them. They have made a bright start to their Nationwide Conference season and lie six points adrift of Hereford in sixth place.
Turner will certainly not be underestimating the Grecians. "It's a competition we want to progress in and that increases with prestige the further you can go," he said.
"We've got an attractive home tie with Northampton Town if we can get through so there's plenty of incentive.
"Exeter are in good form at the moment and I think have won four on the trot so we'll need to be on our game."
"Winning and not losing becomes a habit and that's what we demonstrated at Chester," added Turner. "It's never an easy place to play but on the balance of chances I think we deserved something out of the game.
"Their keeper has had to make three outstanding saves, while Matt Baker didn't have a shot to save of note until the penalty which shouldn't have been anyway.
"The linesman was instrumental in making the decision but he didn't have a great view of the incident anyway, but justice was done when Matt saved it."
FORMCAST: Bulls to win 2-0.
