TERMINALLY ill county children need a team of trekkers to scale a whole mountain range for them.
The challenge set by Acorns Children's Hospice is to climb 4,167m to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
The trek is in aid of the Three Counties Appeal to build a new hospice for youngsters unlikely to reach adulthood.
Acorns events manager Emily Henton said: "This is a great challenge. Mount Toubkal is 4,167m high but it's not a technical climb, so anyone can take part. It really is the experience of a lifetime."
The mountains are described as remote and barren but extremely stunning.
"The route is tough at times but the snow-capped peaks of the high Atlas mountains, the plains of Morocco and the Sahara, all stretch out before you and make the effort worthwhile," added Emily.
The team will leave England on Wednesday, October 29 and return on Sunday, November 2. Each person will need to pay a £200 deposit to secure their place and then raise a minimum £1,000 sponsorship.
Anyone who would like to take up the challenge can contact Emily on 0121 2484802.
