Let me not impatient be
because they are so slow;
Let me not think secretly,
"I wish they had more 'GO'";
Let me respectfully remember
their years are three score and more;
Let me have the sympathy
to comfort their aged body's disability;
Let me have sincerity to help
them during inevitable senility;
Let me listen silently
to their nostalgic memories of yore;
Let me not say angrily,
"I've heard all this before"
Let me treat them lovingly,
and be helpful in every way,
Because I know, and know for sure
I shall be old myself one day.
