Trumpet ploughing match again proved it is one of the leading events in Britain with an excellent entry in the tractor and horse ploughing competitions, despite the exceptionally hard ground conditions.
Ninety-six of the 108 tractor entries competed and eight of the horse ploughing entries took part. Overall champion tractor ploughman was Pip Davies of Weobley.
