Hereford United 3 Boldmere St Michael's 0
HEREFORD turned in a dominant display to become the first side to prevent Boldmere from scoring in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division this season.
The young Bulls made a fine start and were firmly in control for the first 20 minutes before a fine through ball from David Hart allowed top-scorer Andrew Williams the chance to fire home the first goal with a left-foot shot.
Shortly afterwards, Chris Mortlock broke through and rounded the goalkeeper with Paul Allam providing the final touch to extend the lead.
Only some fine goalkeeping prevented Williams and Simon Gwilliam from adding to the scoreline which remained 2-0 at the interval.
Hereford continued to hold sway throughout the second period but it was not until the last five minutes that Adam Kite forced home the third goal off a combination of defender and woodwork.
