HEREFORDSHIRE are assured of a place in the National Inter-County League competition after beating Gloucestershire by 29 points to seven, plus 79 shots.
After the morning session at Bishopswood Village Hall, Herefordshire had won five games, draw one and lost two, plus 22 shots.
The afternoon was even more successful with six games won and two drawn, plus 57 shots.
There was some extremely skilful play from singles players Fred Jolley and Les Williams who won all their games, producing a shot difference of 51.
The pairs team of Tony Vital and Andrew Mollett won both their games, as did the fours team of Brenda Mollett, Sandra Rogers, Phillip Rogers and David Gardiner.
Herefordshire have one more match to play, against Avon at Pucklechurch on January 17.
