Pembridge-based Arrow Vaulting Group enjoyed another memorable year in 2003.
The equestrian vaulting team - the sport involves gymnastics to music on horseback - has moved up to Intermediate classes in competition and came second in the team event at the British Championships in Lanarkshire in October.
Intermediate is the next rung down from the Advanced Open category and ahead of Fun, Pre-Novice and Novice.
In Lanarkshire, the group's duo of Emma Owens and Charlie Morris also won the pairs event while Jonathon Blake came fourth in the individual Advanced Open.
The team is instructed by Sue Neville-Parker and during the summer months gives displays and demonstrations for pony clubs and at local events.
The group is always on the lookout for new vaulters to join. It is not necessary to be able to ride, although strength, flexibility and a fearless disposition help.
Ages range from six to 25 and training is held at Weston, near Pembridge, every Saturday from 9.45am to 12 noon.
