Tupsley Townswomen's Guild quiz team and supporters received a goodwelcome at Malvern Link. After a very close contest, the winners were the Tupsley team, Maureen Walling, Antoinette Perrot and Gwenda Lowry.
Val Twigg deonstrated how to make Christmas cards on November 18. On December 2, the Federation Meeting Report was read by Antoinette Perrot. In 2004, the Townswomen's Guild would be 75 years old, Tupsley Guild 35 years, and the Federation of Hereford and Worcester 10 years. Joan Nottingham had come third in the National Scrabble Championship. The talk on Treasures of the Victoria and Albert Museum was fascinating. Given by Ruth Wood, who is one of the official guides, the emphasis was on items of local interest, like the 19th Century Hereford Cathedral Rood Screen and dolls from Garnons.. The talk was illustrated by slides with the help of Mary Perris. The competition for a small animal ornament was won by Lil Price. The annual carol service was held at Ledbury on Wednesday, December 3. Members from Malvern, when the three Hereford Guilds and Worcester joined in song. The annual Christmas dinner, held at The Bunch of Carrots, was well attended. 2003 has been a very happy year for the Guild and members are looking forward to a varied and interesting programme in 2004.
