TWO residents of a Bromyard travellers' site have been issued with interim anti-social behaviour orders.

Father and son Richard and Stephen Biddle were ordered not to contact other residents of the Open Fields Travellers Site at Hereford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, December 23.

Herefordshire Council and West Mercia Police sought the orders after complaints that the pair harassed and threatened fellow residents of the site.

Under the conditions of the order they must not:

Communicate or interfere directly or indirectly with any inhabitants of the site, whether on or off site;

Use foul, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards any person not of their household within the site;

Obstruct or block access to any roads or property on the site;

Ask a person to commit or help commit anti social behaviour or violence towards any other person on or off the site.

Police have the power to arrest both men for breaches of the order. If the pair fail to comply with the conditions they could be fined or jailed.

The court will review the position on January 6.
