LEOMINSTER MP Bill Wiggin has called for greater openness about the money raised through the use of speed cameras.
Mr Wiggin, whose constituency includes Ledbury and Bromyard, said there was growing concern that cameras were being used to raise revenue rather than simply improve road safety. He called for greater public scrutiny of the accounts of Safety Camera Partnerships.
"The public deserves to be told how many speed cameras there are, how much they are raising and where the money is going," he said.
