A total of 18 youngsters, aged four to ten, enjoyed an activities session at Ledbury Library.
The library was closed to the public for the special afternoon event, on Monday, December 22.
The children heard a number of Christmas stories read to them by library staff Lauren Price and Jane Tustin.
Afterwards Mrs Price, who is the library and information supervisor, showed the children how to make a Father Christmas hat.
She said: "Everyone there made their own hat. There was a lot of glitter, glue and mess, and it was all very nice."
The session ended with a singsong of Christmas favourites.
