TWENTY-SIX pupils and three staff from Queen Elizabeth High School, Bromyard travelled to North Germany for a language exchange.
Their partner school has visited Bromyard twice - once with a theatre group which performed at the Queen Elizabeth High School in 2002.
German and English pupils visited the historic city of Bremen, went of a walking tour of the city, and enjoyed a boat trip around the harbour.
Pupils went to lessons at the school, a spa town Bad Zwischenahn, the leisure pool and they went to see a German film about Germany's World Cup win in the '50s.
A highlight was 'Bosseln', which involved bowling down 4km of open country road - a traditional country sport, involving children and adults alike.
Police are informed beforehand and a permit is purchased - when a car comes along 'Auto' is called out and people stand aside so as not to be knocked down!
