PROJECTS to rejuvenate the county came under discussion during a meeting between MP, Paul Keetch and directors at Advantage West Midlands on Friday.
Schemes such as the Edgar Street Grid and the Rotherwas access road were just some of the controversial developments on the agenda.
Mr Keetch said the county needs to be revitalised and he highlighted the importance of Advantage West Midlands as key players to help get new projects up and running.
"I support the Rotherwas access road and I was pleased to hear Advantage West Midlands do so as well - I think that it can really have a positive impact on the city particularly for local business.
"I will continue to press the Government to act on this.
"For me the key test is the Edgar Street Grid proposals. This is a wonderful opportunity to regenerate and improve a vitally important part of the city and we must not squander it.
"I have voiced my concern about the proposals based around a supermarket. This is a prime location in the city and we must make the most of it.
"The city and the county need some new amenities: a multi-screen cinema, community and sport facilities and a secure future for Hereford United. We should not sacrifice this golden opportunity for the sake of a quick buck from the supermarkets."
