PARISH COUNCIL - Abbeydore and Bacton Group Parish Council held their meeting on Tuesday, December 2, in Bacton Parish Room when all councillors were present. The problem of funding for the Dore Community Transport Scheme and a letter with regard to the Parish Lengthsman Scheme were discussed. Planning Applications included a notification of woodland planting at Longwood and a proposal for development of a redundant barn at Brampton Hill which was recommended for approval. The annual payments of grants and donations were discussed and approved. It was agreed that the parish council should seek quality status and that a start should be made to produce a Parish Plan. The next meeting is arranged for January 20, 2004, at Abbeydore Village Hall. The next visit of the Parish Freighter Service will be at Bacton on February 14, 2004, 11am to 1 pm
