CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL - Bring and decorate a tree for exhibition in the Parish Church Leintwardine, on December 13, 14 and 15. Application forms available from the nine churches of Wigmore Abbey Parish or from Batt's Grocery Stores in Leintwardine, from Mrs Wolley, Old Barn, Mill Lane or Mrs Williams at The Rise, High Street.
FLICKS IN THE STICKS - Saturday, January 31, in the village hall a double bill to two films starting at 5.30pm, with Treasure Planet, an animated adaptation of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic presented by Disney. This film is dazzling, colourful and fast moving with some very realistic looking creatures including variations on spiders, robots and whales. At 8pm, the film Nicholas Nickelby (PG) is being shown with Gwyneth Paltrow, Christopher Plummer. This is a Dickensian classic with Dame Edna Everage as Mrs Crummies.
