BOWLS - Two excellent evenings just recently, did much to promote the game of short mat bowls in the county, and the social aspect, jovial atmosphere and humorous nature of the friendly game encounters was rounded off with super refreshments. The first game was at Bromyard Leisure Centre and the first visit of the season to Herefords Richmond Club. More friendly matches are to be arranged in the New Year, and any club who would like to arrange a game with the Sellack Wanderers team can ring Ivor Skyrme on 01989 730674 or Martin Barfield on 01432 840376. The St Weonards Club can be contacted, by ringing Nigel Skyrme on 01989 566262, and or Gareth Barnfield on 01432 840376. Other Commitments has led to Mrs Sheila Lane, giving up her membership at Sellack Wanderers short mat club, and the mileage from Peterchurch, to the Sellack-St Weonards venue is to great to be the contact for the club, but with enthusiastic youngsters, willing to do the administrative work, Sellack Wanderers bowls club, and the St Weonards SMBC is set for a good future. Kit loaned out to a Little Dewchurch Group, is due back just prior to Christmas and in early January it will be heading to Llannwarne, where, once again a group of people are setting about forming a bowls club.
