HEREFORDSHIRE'S well-known dignitaries banished any thoughts of vertigo to prove the city is safe to visit when they abseiled down Marks and Spencer in High Town.
Among them were Herefordshire Council's chief executive, Neil Pringle, Mayor of Hereford councillor Ursula Attfield, cabinet member for rural regeneration and small holding, councillor Charles Mayson and head of community and economic development, Geoff Hughes.
City business people, Phil Collins, Darren Sockett and Pam Bowden also had their head in the clouds to help bring shoppers back into Hereford after the Legionnaires outbreak.
Meanwhile, shoppers thought they were seeing 'stars' when Posh and Becks look-a-likes visited Hereford on Monday to help give a boost to city centre trade.
