FOLLOWING its £3.5 million facelift, the newly re-named Fred Bulmer Building at Hereford County Hospital was officially opened last Monday.
Guest of honour at the opening was one of Fred Bulmer's relatives, the Rev Gillian Maude, a trustee of the charitable trust set up in his name.
More than half the cost of the project, was put up by the Fred Bulmer Charitable Trust.
Previously home to the hospital's X-ray department, the building will now house a day hospital offering assessment and rehabilitation to patients with a range of conditions, including strokes, Parkinson's disease and orthopaedic problems.
