Tanners chalks up 25 years in branch
THIS year Tanners Wines has been celebrating 25 years at its branch in St Owens Street, Hereford.
Tanners came to Hereford in 1978 when it took over Pulling & Co., Hereford's old established wine merchants, which was founded in 1813 but could trace its origins back to 1760.
Today Neil Clarke runs the recently refurbished branch with Mark Webb, Michael Whitesman and Sue Kaye.
Its interesting premises have 1,000 wines and spirits to explore including Pulling's Hereford gin and cider, which were both revived in 1978.
