Dairy farming
under threat?
IT SADDENS us deeply seeing the collapse for so many British industries and especially the dairy farming industry.
Our government is responsible for not helping out and for the management of this vital industry. We now read that milk is being imported from Poland and Belgium when farmers fight for a fair price for their milk.
Many farmers have given up the fight with dairy cattle being put down with bovine TB.
Another bad management by our ministers to deal with this disease properly in the last couple of years.
Supermarkets are also responsible for our farmers going out of business by wanting to buy cheaply to supply customers when farmers can't make enough money to pay for food, transport and essential services and taxes.
Do you all want to live on foreign produce as this Government is allowing by not restricting imports.
Farming practices aren't so good overseas and they have much more disease and poorer standards.
Doesn't it sadden you to see a farmer such as Paul Thomas from Hereford selling his stock and going out of business. Where's the caring society anymore.
