Leominster Town 3 Chaddesley Corbett 2
LEOMINSTER came from behind to establish a two-goal lead and then had to withstand late Chaddesley pressure to hang for victory which moves them up to a challenging fifth position in the West Midlands League Division 1 South.
Chaddesley controlled the early mid-field play and deservedly took a 15th minute lead when Matt Baynton crossed for striker Craig Pratt to head home.
This brought Leominster to life and Adie Bennett equalised from the spot when Dan Stack was held in the box.
Town continued to attack and a brace from Stack, either side of the break, enabled Leominster to establish a two-goal lead.
Adie Evans and Chris Price set him up for the first goal, a crisp finish from a narrow angle, and then Gareth Davies found him with a neat flick for the second.
Stack almost completed his hat-trick before Chaddesley started to come back as Leominster relaxed.
The visitors narrowed the gap to a single goal with a Baynton header, and home goalkeeper Craig Brimmell earned his team the winning points with a couple of excellent late saves.
l Hinton's scheduled match with Bilston was postponed due to the bad weather.
