RIGOROUS training is the order of the day for Hampton Bishop photographer Laurence Squire as he prepares for his latest brief.
Laurence will be joining former champion jockey Richard Dunwoody and his nine-strong team (eight men, one woman)) as they attempt to scale the Aconcagua summit in the Andes to raise funds for Spinal Research.
The team leaves for South America next Tuesday.
"I've never done anything remotely like this before," said Laurence.
The Aconcagua, the world's highest trekking peak, lies on the border between Argentina and Chile.
The 20-day trek plans to follow the 'normal' route, because of the team's different levels of experience
Also joining the expedition is Phil Ashby, ex-marine and recipient of a Queen's Gallantry award for leading a daring 2000 escape from rebel forces in Sierra Leone.
Laurence has been getting financial support from Hereford Racecourse.
