THE RFU are ready to cope with the surge of interest in rugby that has followed England's success in winning the sport's World Cup.
The switchboard at Twickenham and RFU's website rfu.com have already had to cope with an unprecedented number of calls and hits from people interested in getting involved in the sport.
Clubs across the country are also expecting a surge of interest in the coming weeks and the RFU's rugby development officers in counties across the country, supported by a network of volunteers, are available to offer advice on coaching and referees' courses and club rugby at all levels and age groups.
Information on how to get involved in rugby in the North Midlands (Birmingham, Shropshire, Worcestershire & Herefordshire) is available from: rugby development officer Gary Meechan on 07764 336721 garymeechan@rfu.com, or secretary: Stuart Potts 01952 418801 secretary@northmidlandsrfu.co.uk .
